Hindu Editorial Topic 1 : "Unending slowdown: Indian economy"
  • Unending - continuing without stopping, or seeming to last for ever
  • Slowdown - a period when there is less activity
  • Momentum - progress or development that is becoming faster or stronger
  • Restored - feeling strong, healthy, full of energy, or happy again
  • Inflation - an economic process in which prices increase so that money becomes less valuable
  • Decelerate - to move, progress, or drive more slowly
  • Gross domestic product - the total value of all goods and services produced in a country in a year, except for income received from money invested in other countries. It is often simply called GDP
  • Peg - to keep prices, salaries, or the amount of something at a particular level, often in relation to something else
