Difference between Suzuki Alto VXR and VXL

Difference between Suzuki Alto VXR and VXL

The demise of Suzuki’s renowned Mehran created a major hole in the local care sector as the automaker opted to offer the first-ever 660cc Alto as a substitute. Pak Suzuki has unveiled the all-new 660 cc Alto in three varieties, i.e. VX, VXR and VXL. VX and VXR come with a manual gearbox, while the top-of-the-line VXL variation has an auto gear shift (AGS) (AGS). Let’s take a look at what the hatchback has to offer and what the significant distinctions are between the variants of the Suzuki Alto Pakistan.

Exterior differences between the Suzuki Alto VX, VXR, and AGS

The Alto has been imported from Japan, so it is already familiar to most people. However, the locally made unit varies depending on the model. The rear of the Alto hatchback has a high-mounted stoplight in all three versions. Only the VXL’s side mirrors are electrically retractable. Lower hatchbacks feature pivoting side mirrors. Only the VXL model has body-colored side mirrors. The remaining two trims have black mirrors. Similarly, the VX and VXR models have black door handles, whereas the AGS model has body-colored handles. The tyre size is the same for all three models. The wheel covers are another notable outward change. The Alto VXL has complete wheel covers, whereas the other two manuals simply have center caps.

Interior differences between Suzuki Alto VX, VXR and AGS

The inside of the automobile is virtually identical in all models save one. The VXL variant’s interior color is dual-tone, whereas the other two are single. They all have a 3-position cabin light, floor carpet, floor console, front and rear cupholders, speaker grille, assist grips, sun visor with ticket holder, etc.

Safety features differ between the Suzuki Alto VX, VXR, and AGS

The new Suzuki Alto’s safety and security features set it apart from its predecessors. The difference between the basic model and the higher-end model is negligible. The basic model lacks the most crucial safety feature, airbags. However, the other two higher-end versions include twin airbags for the driver and front passenger. The VX and VXR lack ABS brakes, which are only found on the AGS VXL. Other than that, they all feature front disc brakes, immobilizers, and child locks on the hatchback doors.

Features and Comfort differences

The new Suzuki Alto instrument panel has multiple indicators and a speedometer in the middle. Low fuel indicator, door warning light, glove box lid, undertray, temperature control, and auxiliary socket are all standard on the 660 cc Alto. The lack of an air conditioner is a significant flaw in the basic model. A nation like Pakistan, where the temperature is hot most of the year, without having air conditioning seems odd. It reminds me of Mehran, which had a basic model without AC. Power windows are only available on the VXL hatchback. The other two models’ users will have to use the old-fashioned handles. The cheapest model also lacks pre-installed speakers. Also, the touch screen LCD is only available in the Suzuki Alto VXL. Aside from that, all three variants have the same amenities, such as a heater and front defroster, as well as an antenna and audio bracket.
