Selection Procedure for CSIR Recruitment 2023

• The CASE exam will be administered for 600 points in computer-written exams.
• The question papers will be conducted in Hindi and English.

CISE Exam Pattern for Assistant Section Officer (ASO)

• Combined Administrative Services Examination – 2023 (CASE – 2023) for Section Officer Posts Phase 1 (Motion Examination 1 and Mock Examination 2), Phase 2 (Motion Examination 3), and Computer Proficiency Test will be conducted for the examination phase 3.
• Each question paper will be conducted in Hindi and English.
• There will be negative scoring in Test 1, and in Test 2, 0.33 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• The computer-based CASE examination for Assistant Section Officer (General/F&A/S&P) posts will be conducted for 500 marks.
• The computer proficiency test at stage 3 is of qualifying type. It won’t contribute any grades to the final selection procedure.

CSIR ASO & SO 2023 Pay Scale

The pay scale for the position of Section Officer ranges from Rs. 47,600/- to Rs. 1,51,100/-. Meanwhile, the chosen candidates for the role of Assistant Section Officer will receive a salary between Rs. 44,900/- and Rs. 1,42,400/-. In addition to their wages, applicants will be granted perks such as Cost of Living Allowance (DA), Rental Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), and so on.
