    River Barak:

    Another important river of Assam is River Barak,which originates in the Manipur hills and enters the plains near Lakhipur, Assam after that the river enters Bangladesh as Surma and Kushiyara.The valley which creats due to flow in Cachar is also known as Barak valley.Some renoun towns of Barak velly are Silchar,Lakhipur… have district town Silchar, Karimganj,Ramkrishna nagar,Badarpur…have district town Karimganj,Lala,Hailakandi,Katlicherra,Panchgram,Katakhal…have district town Hailakandi.

     Kushiyara River:

    It is a distributary rier in Bangladesh and Assam and flows from Assam to Bangladesh border. The river forms on the India-Bangladesh border as a branch of the Barak River at the time when the Barak separates into the Kushiyara and Surma. The river Kushiyara originate in the state of Nagaland and pick up tributaries from Manipur, Mizoram and Assam.
