Madhya Pradesh Arbitration Centre (Domestic and International) Jabalpur
The Madhya Pradesh Arbitration Centre (Domestic & International) inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Justice Ajay Kumar Mittal, Chief Justice, High Court of Madhya Pradesh in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Shri Justice Sanjay Yadav, Administrative Judge and other Companion Judges of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 04th July 2020.
The Madhya Pradesh Arbitration Centre (Domestic & International) offers excellent facilities and best infrastructure easily accessible to litigants, lawyers arbitrators as well as affordable to litigants. It is located within the premises of High Court of Madhya Pradesh Jabalpur. The Centre operates in the two floor building exclusively allotted for it. It has facility of fully air conditioned multiple arbitration units, multiple mediation units, Secretariat and separate waiting area for parties and arbitrators, Research Cell, Cafeteria for refreshment, Library and Record Room.
The function of the Center is governed by “The Madhya Pradesh Arbitration Centre (Domestic and International) Rules, 2019” framed and notified by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh is the Patron-in-Chief of the Centre and it is operated under the guidance of a Board of Governors comprising senior five Sitting Judges of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. There is Directorate with a full time Director, a Senior Judicial Officer in the rank of District Judge assisted by two Deputy Directors with supporting staffs. It ensures secure and transparent operations, provides complete assistance for smooth functioning of the arbitral proceeding and complete official assistance to the arbitrators for speedy disposal of the matters. The arbitrator fees and miscellaneous expenses are chargeable as per rules.

- Pro-bono arbitrator without arbitrator’s fee for indigent parties involving claims upto 5 lacs.
- Amicable settlement of dispute within one year.
- Facility for adopting Fast track procedure and redressel of dispute within in period of six months.
- Facility to select arbitrator of own choice at standard fees according to value of the matter.
- Facility to prefer matter to mediation or conciliation.
- Availability of separate mediation rooms at the centre.
- Facility to appoint expert on specific issues.
- Facility to refer international dispute to the arbitration centre.
- Facility of good infrastructure and skilled manpower support with nominal charges.
- Facility of reception, computer, furniture, library, Record Room and cafeteria
- Facility of skilled judicial officer, typist, law researchers, cashier/ law accountant and technical
manpower. - The Chief Justice of the High court of Madhya Pradesh is the patron-in-Chief of the centre, which
is governed by a board of Governors comprising of
five senior Hon’ble sitting Judges of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh with director
as Member Secretary. - The day to day management of the centre is under the supervision of a full time director with
supporting staff.
