Students need to attempt 125 questions and students who are in the top 1000 IIT JEE rank holders or are rank holders in Central and State board exams are eligible for direct admissions into the university.

VITEEE:

VITEEE stands for VIT Engineering Entrance Exam held for admissions into the UG Programmes at VIT. There are about 5000 engineering seats. The exam is for about 2.5 hours and consists of 125 questions covering Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Aptitude, and English.

COMEDK:

COMEDK stands for Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. The scores obtained in this exam are used for admissions into engineering and medical colleges that are affiliated with COMEDK.

Some states have their own engineering entrance exams as well. For example, Karnataka conducts the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) and Andhra Pradesh conducts APCET as well.
