  6. Remove the battery from its case and look for the letters imprinted on the top. These should say CR2032.
  7. Put the battery out of reach of children and animals. Ensure you don’t lose it!
    • Batteries must be disposed of at dedicated centers.
  8. Insert the new battery into its bracket with the positive side facing up. The battery should sit firmly and not fall out easily.
  9. Put the cover back on without applying excessive force.
  10. Return the emergency key until you hear it click into place.
  11. Check to see if the key works.
