The animal kingdom is a group of living things that includes different kinds of animals in the world. These animals can be big or small, and they can live on land, in the water, or in the air. They are different from plants because they can move on their own and usually eat other living things to survive. They come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny insects to huge whales and elephants. 

Classification of Animal Kingdom

Some are also heterotrophic, digesting their food within internal chambers, which distinguishes them from algae and plants. Bryozoans

People usually think of bryozoans as tiny mossy animals.  They are filter feeders that use a crown of tentacles coated with cilia to sift food particles out of the water. The majority of them live in humid environments, a few in glacial waters, and a few in marine trenches. The majority of them are colonial, with one category being solitary. Zooids are bryozoan individuals who are not fully autonomous species. Auto zooids are responsible for feeding and excretion in all colonies.

Vertebrates

Vertebrates are creatures that have backbones. Jawed vertebrates and jawless fish are examples. Sharks, ray fish, and bony fish are examples of Animal Kingdom.  Clad, a bony fish, is also classified as an amphibian, reptile, mammal, and bird.  The size of existing animals ranges from the frog to the blue whale. Amphibians are creatures that live on land but migrate to water to procreate. Scutes coat the skin of reptiles. Mammals can be either terrestrial, aquatic, or airborne. Birds have feathered wings and streamlined body.

  1. At the organ level of organization, we group animal tissues with similar abilities into organs. Each organ has a specific job. For example, in flatworms.
  2. Tissue Level Organization: Animal cells divide among themselves. They make tissues when cells with the same job work together.
  3. In animals, we see the organ framework level of organization. Organs build the structure of functional systems, and each system has a specific job.
  4. Cellular Organization: This level of organization consists of cells that form free cell aggregates.

Importance of Animal Kingdom

The animal kingdom is important to humans in a variety of ways. Each animal depends on the other for survival. Domesticated animals are beneficial in a variety of ways:

Poultry animals include: This category includes animals that generate food in the form of milk, meat, and eggs. Cattle, poultry, goats, sheep, and other animals fall under this category.

Skin, skins, and fibres can also be derived from sheep, camels, cattle, and goats.

Draught animals: Animals that are used for ploughing fields, carrying heavy things, and doing farm work are called draught animals.

Domesticated animals include dogs, cats, fish, and many different types of birds.

Many species, such as silkworms from the phylum arthropods, are economically important to mankind. People use many animals like crocodiles and snakes to make leather. This makes leather one of the most profitable businesses.

Insects are the other class of Animalia kingdom and play a vital part in our world since they aid to increase plant population through pollination.

1. Circulatory System

There are two types of circulatory frameworks: open and closed.

Open Circulatory System: In an open circulatory system, the heart pumps the blood out. . Molluscs and arthropods are two examples.

Closed Circulatory System: In this type of circulatory system, blood travels via a series of channels called capillaries, arteries, and veins.

2. Digestive System

The digestive system is divided into two categories.  There are two types of digestive systems: complete and incomplete.

Complete Digestive System: This type of digestive system has two entrances to the outside of the body, one at the back and one at the front. Chordates and Arthropods are two examples.

Incomplete Digestive System: It has only one entrance to the exterior of the body, which functions as both the back end and the front end.

3. Body symmetry is classified into three categories. Asymmetrical, Bilateral, and Radial.

Bilateral Symmetry: Animals with bilateral symmetry have bodies that can split into two equal left and right parts.

Radial Symmetry: Animals have spiral symmetry. Coelenterates, Echinoderms, and Ctenophores are examples.

Asymmetry: Asymmetry is the completed lack of symmetry. In simple words, some living things cannot be cut in half to make two equal parts, and no line can go through the center of these creatures. For instance, sponges are like this

In the animal kingdom, you can find lots of creatures like cats, dogs, birds, fish, butterflies, snakes, and even elephants. There are tiny insects, like ants and bees, and also big animals, like lions and whales. Animals are all around us, and they come in many different shapes and sizes.

Take two big sheets of chart paper, one for chordates and one for non-chordates. Divide them into columns and write one categorization in each column. You may now write the characteristics of all in each column, such as body form, habitat, mono/bisexuality, and so on. Finally, write out all of the examples.
