Eligibility Criteria

The applicant for this scholarship must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

Eligibility for Saksham- Degree Level

40% or more impaired students who receive unequal education. A family should not make more than Rs. 8 lakh a year. Students are admitted to UG degree-level programs and courses at institutions approved by the AICTE. AICTE-approved institutions admit students for lateral entry (LE) into their first or second year of a degree program in their respective year. For each year of study, or a maximum of 4 years for degrees for first-year admitted students and a maximum of 3 years for degree students admitted through lateral entry, students will receive an amount equal to Rs 50,000 as a lump sum payment for college fees, computer purchases, stationery purchases, book purchases, equipment purchases, software purchases, etc. Grants for housing, healthcare, and other costs will no longer be accessible. Gender-related concerns are irrelevant because the program is accessible to everyone.

Eligibility for Saksham – Diploma Level

If a student’s disability is 40% or greater, they are categorized as differently abled. No family should earn more than Rs. 8 lakhs a year. Students accepted for courses and programs at the diploma level at AICTE-approved institutions. Any AICTE-approved institution that year may accept students admitted through lateral entry (LE) into either the first or second year of their diploma degree.   • Students would lose the scholarship if they were not advanced to the next class or level.
  • A qualifying examination will determine which students, based on merit, will go on to pursue technical education. The candidates must also meet the additional requirement that they have been admitted through the State/Central Government’s centralized admissions process to the first year of a degree or diploma program at any AICTE-approved institution during the academic year 2014–15.
  • The deadline for submitting the application for renewal by mail is 31st January 2021.

Terms And Conditions

To apply for the scholarship, you have to abide by the following guidelines:-

  • Once a year, the Government of India’s National e-Scholarship Portal will open for applications.
  • We will summarily reject incomplete applications. Only online applications that have been verified will be considered for a scholarship.
  • A candidate will not be eligible for additional scholarships if she fails or drops out in later years.
  • The AICTE is going to oversee and carry out the plan.
  • The multiplying factor for converting the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) to a percentage will be 9.5; that is, CGPA X 9.5 will yield the percentage.
  • The percentage will be calculated using the total marks if the mark sheet indicates both the CGPA and the total marks.
  • If the mark sheet has marks listed as A1, A2, B1, B2, etc., the grades will first be converted to CGPA, and the average CGPA will then be determined. We’ll translate this
  • CGPA into a percentage using the formula from point No. 2.
  • The AICTE website will include a temporary roster of the selected applicants. Within one month, candidates may file a grievance if they have any questions concerning the scholarship merit list. After a month, no questions about the merit list will be accepted.
