NSP Scholarships Distribution Rule

Under Section 2(c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jainites, and Zoroastrians (Parsis) had been notified as minority communities. It is intended to award 5 (05) lakh online scholarships as “Fresh” scholarships in addition to renewal scholarships. The allocation of scholarships to the different States/Union Territories may be based on the minority population in the States/Union Territories as per Census 2001 for 2017–18 and as per Census 2011 for 2018–19 and 2019–20 (according to Appendices A & B).
