Anna University Ph.D. 2024 Selection Process
- Once the application form submission process gets over, the university will shortlist applications on the basis of previous academic performance.
- Next, candidates will be invited to take part in the written test and interview.
- The successful candidates selected for Ph.D. admission shall be shortlisted based on the cut-off marks fixed by the Research Board.
- The cut-off marks are decided on the basis candidate’s overall academic record and his/ her performance in the written test and interview.

The admission process is as follows:
- Visit the Official Website of the University (http://www.annauniv.edu/).
- Register with a valid username and Email ID and log in with your account.
- Fill the application form for the course you want to join.
- Upload your photograph and other required documents.
- Pay the application fee. Different modes of payment are available.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for further process (GD/PI).
- Once selected, candidates are required to pay the course fee to confirm their seat.
Application fee
Candidates have to pay Rs. 800/- for General Category while Rs. 400/- for candidates from SC/ST category of Tamil Nadu as necessary application fee. Payment can also be made through demand draft drawn in favour of “The Director (Research), Anna University” payable at Chennai.
