OpenAI, with support from Microsoft (MSFT.O), has unveiled an enhanced capability for Chatgpt that enables web browsing. This development marks a significant expansion in the data accessible to the popular chatbot, surpassing its previous limitation, which was set at September 2021.

OpenAI, the AI innovator, has Introduced a new browsing feature, granting websites the authority to manage and dictate ChatGPT's interactions with their online content.

In a recent announcement, the startup introduced a significant update that positions ChatGPT on the cutting edge of AI capabilities. This update empowers ChatGPT to engage in vocal exchanges with users and interact through visual content, effectively bringing it in line with well-known AI assistants such as Apple's Siri (AAPL.O).

ChatGPT achieved an unprecedented milestone this year by becoming the most rapidly adopted consumer application in history. In January, it boasted a staggering 100 million monthly active users, although it was later overtaken by Meta's Threads app.

This remarkable ascent of ChatGPT has sparked a surge in investor enthusiasm for OpenAI. Recent reports from sources like Duniyadari indicate that the startup is actively engaging with its shareholders in discussions about potentially selling existing shares at significantly elevated valuations compared to just a few months ago.

The current version has been updated so that websites have the option to block OpenAI’s web crawler tool, which scrapes pages for information. This has led to several news publishers blocking ChatGPT from accessing their sites. However, many still allow ChatGPT to access and use their content.
