To calculate the Earth Work in Excavation, we have to find the volume of the excavation.

To calculate the volume we have to take Length, Breadth and Depth of the foundation, and add 100mm (may be more, as per site requirements) extra in length and breadth for shuttering works.

Suppose, the length of the foundation is 3400mm

Breadth of the foundation is 2600mm, and the depth is 5400mm and the soling is 75mm and pcc over the soling in 75mm and number of foundation is 15, then our values will be

L = 3400+100=3500 or 3.5m

B = 2600+100=2700 or 2.7m

D = 5400+150= 5550 or 5.55m

And our calculation for excavation in earth work will be (Length X Breadth X Depth)

=3.5 x 2.7 x 5.55 mᶟ

=52.45 mᶟ

For 15nos. of foundation , 15 x 52.45 cu m = 786.75 mᶟ
