The Rajasthan State Department of College Education has launched the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Students who want to pursue UG, PG, and Ph.D. degrees can apply. The Rajasthan government has launched this scholarship named after its former Prime Minister. The Rajiv Gandhi scholarship was implemented on (August 20, 2021). Every year, about 200 students receive this free scholarship.

Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence Budget
Every year, the government of Rajasthan offers opportunities to about 200 students to study in universities abroad. Among them are about 150 universities. About 30 percent of the total seats are reserved for women candidates. The Rajasthan government has approved an additional budget of around Rs. 65 crore for the scheme for the years 2023-24. This scheme will help students pursue higher studies abroad.

Eligibility Criteria
Below we discuss the eligibility criteria for the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence Yojana.
- Firstly, the student must be a permanent resident of the state of Rajasthan.
- The applicant must have a Janadhaar.
- Applicants must have a twelfth/graduation/post-graduation/post-graduate/doctoral degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university/board.
- The student’s age should not be more than 35 years (as of July 1).
- The student must have a domicile certificate in Rajasthan.
- The student’s annual family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakh.
- Only one candidate per family will get the grant.

- Choose the citizen option and one of the following options.
- Fill in the information asked on the screen based on your choices and submit your registration.
