Dear African child:DREAM.👑

Your dreams are what will take you out of a “township”, it’s the stepping stone to opening doors for another.

There is no such thing as a Dream that’s too BIG, setting limitations to your life is keeping yourself from possibilities. There may not be resources, but African child, dream, you may come from a less fortunate home, but you are the light for your brothers and sisters to live a life of fortunate, nothing is too big for you to make reality.

In the world we living in,becoming a statistic as a African child is becoming so greater that dreams are “invalid”. Let’s look at it as such: There are homes where our brothers would stay out of school just to feed they sister’s,there are homes where young girls become parents because they were abandoned, there are homes where a girl child is being raped daily by her own family and therefore she drops out of school, and so the stories continue. Yet we are part of a system that neglects the child on the side of the road,by judgment because of circumstances they from.

Our society has taught us,…inorder to be a success we need to stay in school and the world shall reward us with opportunity, but the same system fails us with so many graduates at home and nothing a certificate can do to put food on the table. For many years its evident that waiting on the government is waiting to be a statistic and that’s seen in our communities, most people, especially the youth is driven to the understanding of substances. Just as @nomzamo mbatha said,it’s of importance to be a Dream Realized and no one in 2023 can say they have never seen it,The opportunity you seek should be fought for, doors should be broken down to show the hunger of striving.

The desperation in townships to become a dream realized is so great that our people are not afraid of labour, they are more than willing to start small until the seed they planted becomes fruit they bare, however, the foundation of BECOMING could at times not be as solid. You may be from a family that disregards your dreams, sees your potential as failure, however be your own cheerleader there is absolutely no one that will understand your craft as much as you do.

Just some context as the founder and writer of the brand/movement of @feminineempowermentandgrowth:

Everything started off as a dream, literally, starting Everything was unfamiliar such as starting the website, getting ideas to create the content and being creative as a digital creator. The space was unfamiliar and the support was minimal, help was never offered and one would appreciate even the bare minimum to feel like you in the right direction, even though it felt nothing like that. Giving up could have been easy, yet, becoming the dream realized to other’s as a feminine woman was thee dream,I never stopped because the support was never there, I kept on going, to grow in communities where Young Girls know there is a movement to encourage, inspire and be unapologetic YOU.

In all honesty it does not have to begin at home,it starts in your heart. You don’t have to feel Valid enough inorder to dream, the siblings, parent or friends you desire to show up should never stop you from living your dream life.

African child I give you permission to dream and may you never stop dreaming, cause it will come to fruition.

Thank you so much for coming to the end of this blog post,COMMENT how you are making your dreams come through and so far for 2023,what have you accomplished??

Till next time sweeties
