The decision to conduct annual inter exams in hot weather is rejected, inter exams should be held in moderate weather and students should be spared, supla

Karachi Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) has rejected the decision of the Steering Committee of the Sindh Education Department to hold the Inter annual examinations in hot weather and demanded that the Inter examinations be conducted in moderate weather and showed mercy to the students. He said that if the officers sitting in the cold machine rooms spend an hour in the exam room during the exams, especially in the afternoon shift, then they might realize that there is load shedding, hubris and taking the exam in extreme heat. So sitting there in your place is a great test in itself.

SUPLA Central President Manoor Abbas, Secretary General Shahjahan Panhor and other leaders said that we have been conveying to the higher authorities several times that the books of various intermediate subjects have changed, which should be notified by preparing model papers to the students. It is necessary to deliver and announce the exam dates immediately. SUPLA leaders further said that in this regard we have also given written suggestions that the annual Intermediate Exams should be held in late April as the weather is extremely hot in the month of May. It happens, but it is being circulated that the sub-committee of the steering committee has also decided to conduct the intermediate exams in the last week of May, which we reject.

The SPL leaders further said that starting the exams at the end of May would mean that the exams will be held in the hot summer months of June and July. Appealed to take cognizance of the same and issue orders to conduct the examinations in the last week of April or at most in the first week of May. The leaders of Sapla also said that the Department of College Education has also issued a letter of representation of Sapla to the Sindh School Education Department to be included in the steering committee, but till now Sapla has not been made a part of the steering committee, which is regrettable.
