- The Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Province Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bill 1990,having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa on the 28th November 1990 and assented to by the Governor of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa on the 3rd December 1990,is hereby published as an ACT of the Provincial Legislature of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. It is empowered with administrative and financial authority to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate and Secondary Education in general and conduct examinations in the institutions affiliated with it.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Affiliate institutions imparting SSC and HSSC education within its Jurisdiction.
- Prescribe courses of instructions for SSC and HSSC
- Ensure the provision of requisite facilities in the affiliated institutions
- Hold exams, appoint examiners and supervisory staff
- Institute measures to promote physical well-being of students
VISION & MISSION:
To contribute towards the progressive attainment of national aims and objectives of education at the Secondary and Higher Secondary levels within the Jurisdiction through a fair, transparent and efficient examination system and with a futuristic vision.
