Nishant Hada, a final year student of the dual degree (B.Tech and M.Tech) program of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Hamirpur, has broken all records of getting placements in one package. Nishant Hada has been offered a package of 1.51 crore per annum from US-based company Bloomberg.

He said that this is the biggest package till date in the placement package of NIT Institute. Pro. Lalit Awasthi said that the placement cell of the institute is doing excellent work.
He informed that under the new education policy of the institute, students are allowed internship with dissertation work and in future the institute is planning to allow students for one semester internship in industry. Several changes in the existing education policy and re-establishment of a conducive academic environment are likely to bring about many positive changes in the institute and will benefit the students at large.
Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Director, NIT Hamirpur said that employment in the world has been affected due to Covid, but now that there is a decrease in it, this year the institute will see more good results regarding placements. He said that despite Covid, last year also the institute has maintained excellent placement record as compared to other institutes.
