a. Educational Qualifications:

– Knowledge of Tamil language is essential.

b. Age Limit:
– The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 30 years.
– Age relaxations are provided for candidates belonging to specific categories as per government rules.

c. Physical Standards:
– Male candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm and chest measurements of 81 cm (unexpanded) and 86 cm (expanded).
– Female candidates must have a minimum height of 157 cm and a weight of at least 40 kg.

4. Selection Process:
The selection process for the TNPSC Excise Sub-Inspector job profile consists of two stages:

a. Written Examination:
– This examination is conducted in two parts: Paper-I and Paper-II.
– The syllabus generally includes topics like general knowledge, reasoning, mental ability, and specific subjects related to the position.

b. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
