Ankur Garg Biography

On 14th June 1980, IAS Ankur Garg was born in Patiala, Punjab. He is 43 years old now. Ankur Garg IAS topper is the youngest male who has topped the UPSC examination in his first attempt from the state of Punjab. He mentioned in one of his interviews that becoming an IAS officer was his childhood dream, which he realised in 2002. From third class, he had aspired to become and serve as an IAS official. He was determined to become an IAS officer, and that determination drove him to work diligently throughout his educational journey. He had also indicated that he was confident he would be among the top ten, but the first place surprised him.

From the third standard, Ankur Garg IAS topper 2002 had aspired to become and serve as an IAS official. Before graduating from IIT Delhi, he had two foreign achievements from the Institute of Lausanne and Paris. He was also promised a six-figure salary while studying at a top private sector company, but he declined. Despite the fact that he is an engineer who graduated from IIT Delhi, he has a strong interest in history and economics. His test options were History, Physics, and Chemistry. He wished to serve his country, so he took the UPSC exam and realised his dreams.

Ankur Garg of the AGUMT(Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre began his career as an IAS officer in 2003 and was assigned to the junior grade (2003-2006). He was appointed as the CEO of Urban housing and development after serving as the sub-divisional magistrate in the field of (District admin/land revenue) (2006-2007). By the end of 2007, he had been elevated to district session judge for law and justice for a two-year term. He served as secretary to the governor by the conclusion of his tenure in 2009.
