Kanwar Grewal finished his schooling at Bathinda in Punjab. He had been born into a Jatt family of farmers. He developed an interest in music from a very young age and so to pursue his interest, he began learning singing while in 6th standard. It was during his school days that he gave his first stage performance. To hone his singing abilities, he registered at the SBC school of Kotkpura and got his graduated degree in Music from there. After this, he obtained his post-graduate degree in music from Punjabi University in Patiala.

He finally began his professional singing career in the year 2013 with the album ”Akhan”. The album was an instant hit among the audience along with his next album was eagerly awaited. He did not let his fans wait more and soon released his next album titled ”Jogi Nath”. This album too like his previous album was well received. His singles like – ”Ticktan Do Lay Layi” and ”Mastana Jogi” were well received.

Shortly from separate records, he branched out to the Punjabi film industry and made his singing debut through the hit song ”Faqeera” in the blockbuster movie ”Ardaas” in 2016. His hottest song Takkdi released a couple of days back and has become a sensation. He will soon be making his Bollywood singing debut as well.
