Heavy rain has poured down in Lismore, and the stormy weather isn’t letting up. This has caused sudden flooding in the area.

Because of the heavy rain, there was flash flooding in Lismore. In particular, Brewster St had to be closed near Lismore Square because water was overflowing from the drains.

The town’s street drains had a tough time handling all the rain.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, in just two hours since 9 am, Lismore got 62mm of rain, with most of it coming down in the first hour.

The drains in Browns Creek were completely filled during the storm.

A crucial safety note: Never try to walk or drive through flash floodwaters. It can be extremely dangerous.
