In an effort to elevate the standard of sports in Punjab and unleash the hidden talents of our youth, the government of Punjab launched the “Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan 2023” initiative. We are thrilled to share that our enthusiastic Woodlanders participated wholeheartedly in this endeavour, showcasing their exceptional sporting abilities. Our remarkable swimmers stood out by clinching an impressive total of 33 medals, including an astounding 16 Golds, 9 Silvers, and 8 Bronze medals. Additionally, our Woodlanders brought home OVERALL TROPHY in Badminton with Gold Medals in the Hammer throw, weightlifting, volleyball, chess and judo tournaments showcasing their incredible strength and skill in various disciplines. Even in table tennis, boxing, wrestling and volleyball (U-21 category), our athletes managed to secure a medal, demonstrating their versatility in sports. Enthused with joy at such an achievement Dean, Dr Simerjeet Kaur extended her heartfelt congratulations to all the athletes who represented Woodlands with such determination and sportsmanship. She added that the school has been focused on providing a wide range of sports facilities for the overall development of the Woodlanders. The school has half the Olympic size swimming pool, basketball court, volleyball court and tennis court with a wide range of indoor games too. Having these facilities on the school premises has contributed significantly to the physical, mental, and social growth of the Woodlanders.
