Israeli Forces Launch Drone Attack in West Bank, Killing Three Palestinians

Israeli forces carried out a drone attack on Wednesday evening near the Al-Jalama checkpoint north of Jenin in the Occupied West Bak, alleging that the vehicle’s occupants belonged to a “terrorist cell.”

According to reports, three Palestinian individuals were killed in the attack. Kamal Abu al-Roub, deputy governor of Jenin, described the aftermath, stating that there were “three dismembered bodies inside” the car, which had been struck by missiles.

Palestinian resistance groups strongly condemned the deadly drone strike in Jenin, holding the occupying regime accountable for this criminal act. The Jenin Battalion identified the victims as Suhaib Adnan al-Ghul, 27, Ashraf Murad al-Saadi, 17, and Mohammad Bashar Owais, 28, all members of the Islamic Jihad.

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem denounced the strike as a “grave escalation,” emphasizing that the assassination of the Palestinian youths “will not go unpunished.” Ismail Radwan, a senior Hamas leader, characterized the use of drones in operations against Palestinians in Jenin as a “dangerous development” and called for intensified resistance against the occupying regime in the area.

Abdul-Jawad al-Attar, a leader of the Islamic Jihad movement, affirmed that the resistance front would not remain silent in the face of Israeli crimes and would continue to defend the Palestinian people. The Jenin Battalion of Islamic Jihad’s al-Quds Brigades issued a statement demanding that the Israeli regime pay for its “foolish decision” to target fighters using drones, adding that these assassinations would not weaken their resolve.

United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres expressed deep concern over the violence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, condemning an Israeli operation in Jenin resulting in the death of seven Palestinians.

“As the Occupying Power, Israel must ensure the protection of the civilian population against all acts of violence and hold perpetrators accountable. Israel must abide by its obligations under international humanitarian law, including the proportional use of force and taking all feasible precautions to spare civilians during military operations,” Guterres stated, according to his deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq.

In recent months, Israel has escalated its attacks on Palestinian towns and cities across the occupied territories, resulting in numerous Palestinian casualties and arrests. Nablus and Jenin have been particularly targeted, as Israeli forces attempt to suppress the growing Palestinian resistance against the occupation.
