Day 2 box office receipts for “Salaar”: Prabhas’ movie gets closer to crossing the Rs 150 crore threshold in India

At the domestic box office, Prabhas’ latest movie Salaar: Part One-Ceasefire is a smash hit, approaching the Rs 150 Crore milestone. Salaar’s first day earnings were Rs 90.70 crore, while its first Saturday earnings are projected to be approximately Rs 55 crore. According to the cinema trade portal Sacnilk, with this, the film is expected to have made roughly Rs 145.70 crore and may shortly cross the Rs 150 crore mark.

The commercial action film starring Prabhas also aims to break the Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office. With Salaar, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Jawan, and the recently released Dunki, among others, surpassed as the largest opener of 2023.

On its first day of release, Jawan made Rs 75 crore, Pathaan made Rs 57 crore, and Salaar made Rs 90.70 crore. On its debut day, Dunki earned a total of Rs 29.20 crore. Additionally, it has outperformed artists like Animal, Leo, and Adipurush. Leo made Rs 64.80 crore on its first day of business, while Adipurush made a total of Rs 86.75 crore. However, Animal brought in a whopping Rs 63.80 crore.

Additionally, Salaar sold 18,93 lakh tickets from 12,959 performances across national cinema chains on Saturday. In PVR chains, the movie sold 1.80 lakh tickets for Rs 6.82 crore, while in Inox chains, it sold 1.30 lakh tickets for Rs 4.50 crore. According to cinema trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan, the film sold 70,088 tickets for a total of Rs 2.61 crore throughout Cinepolis outlets.
