The messaging service Whatsapp, which is owned by Meta, recently unveiled a new feature that enables users to simultaneously log into two WhatsApp accounts on the same device. Users who want to switch between their work and personal accounts without signing out or carrying two phones are the target audience for this service. Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of this new function.

A WhatsApp representative told Business Today that the feature is being introduced gradually. Update the software using either the Google Play Store or the Apple software Store to acquire it first.

What is the Operation of the Dual WhatsApp Account Feature? 

In order to set up a second account, WhatsApp claims that users will need a second phone number, SIM card, or phone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM.

Users can then access their WhatsApp settings by opening them, selecting “Add account” by clicking the arrow next to their name.

Then, users can individually alter the privacy and notification settings for each account.

Additionally, WhatsApp urged users to stick with the genuine app and not download any clones or fake versions in order to add more accounts to their phone. According to WhatsApp, the security and privacy of users’ messages are exclusively guaranteed by the official app. 

WhatsApp has been aggressively introducing new features, such as the Passkeys function that will make the app safer and simpler to use. In essence, the functionality gives the user the option to choose biometric application security. The user can choose to have their face or fingerprint scanned in place of using SMS as their second mode of authentication.
