In a rented residence at the Xrbia Society in Talegaon Dabhade, Pune, on Friday, the deceased former Marathi actor and Director Ravindra Mahajani was discovered dead.

Mahajani, a resident of Mumbai, was reportedly living alone there for roughly eight months, according to the police.
Around 4.30 pm on Friday, the neighbors reported a bad stench coming from the apartment and called the police.
When a Talegaon MIDC police team arrived on the scene shortly after, they discovered the unit to be locked from the inside. The police forced open the door in front of the neighborhood inhabitants and discovered Mahajani’s body inside.
According to the authorities, the dead was identified as Mahajani by the apartment’s owner.
They believe the actor died two to three days prior to the discovery of his remains.
The late actor’s family was notified by the police, who also sent his dead remains to a hospital for a postmortem to determine the exact cause of death.
Kalat Nakalat (1990) and Mumbaicha Fauzdar (1984), among others, were movies directed by Mahajani. Beginning in the middle of the 1970s, he played a prominent role in the Marathi cinema business for many years.
Even more recently, he appeared in Panipat (2019), a Hindi historical drama.
The actor Gashmir Mahajani is his son.
