Ahead for the release of the iPhone 15, Apple is developing USB-C EarPods

According to rumours, Apple’s forthcoming Iphone 15 series will include a USB-C port for the first time ever in place of a lightning port. Prior to any confirmation, tipster ShrimpApplePro on Twitter claimed that the business has even begun producing wired EarPods with a USB-C connection for the forthcoming iPhone series.

In-depth details about ahead for the release of the iPhone 15, Apple is developing USB-C EarPods

The source reveals that the EarPods have been manufactured for some time. It’s anticipated that these earphones will work with the iPhone without an adaptor. The current models cost Rs 2,000 in India and either a lightning port or a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The source had previously revealed that Foxconn, an Apple supplier, was producing USB-C EarPods for the firm.

For the uninitiated, the European Union (EU) has mandated that all smartphone manufacturers use a universal charging standard, in this case USB-C. Apple executives stated that the corporation will adhere to European regulations, but they did not specify which model they would begin with. By the end of 2024, all mobile phones sold in the EU must comply with EU regulations and feature a USB-C charging connector.

The prospect of the firm including a USB-C port in the iPhone models starting in 2023 was raised by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

It’s simply too expensive to produce various devices for various locations, according to Maurice Klahne, senior research analyst, Counterpoint Research. Apple is therefore likely to implement the change at once everywhere.

Users will be able to charge their Macs, iPads, and iPhones with the same charger if the tech giant introduces USB-C connections to iPhones.

Only the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max would allow high-speed data transfers through USB-C, according to analyst Kuo’s earlier prediction. He further went on to say that Apple is expected to increase the charging speed of the company’s Made For iPhone (MFi) programme chargers. The EU’s goal of establishing a common charging standard would be completely defeated if iPhones required customers to purchase a data cable exclusively from Apple.
