Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway trailer out as Rani Mukerji impresses as anguished mother

Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway, a movie starring Rani Mukerji, recently debuted its first trailer. The movie, which was written, produced, and directed by Ashima Chibber, is based on the true account of an Indian couple whose kids were removed from them by Norwegian social services in 2011. The titular character, played by Mukerji, is a mother who defies the Norwegian government in order to reunite with her kids.

A brief about Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway trailer out as Rani Mukerji impresses as anguished mother

Rani Mukerji and her children are seen in a joyful family setting in the trailer’s opening scene. Once the family relocates to Norway, they are abruptly separated from their children after the authorities protest her hand-feeding the baby and compare it to force-feeding. The services are also against children sharing a bed with their parents. The trailer depicts Chatterjee’s journey through pain and despair as she fights for her children’s return, faces accusations that she is “unstable,” and must defend herself in court.

Rani claimed in a statement that Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway is quite unique. I’m eager to see how my fans respond to the trailer.

“I have had the opportunity of viewing this heartbreaking and immensely daring film,” Karan Johar wrote in the caption of the video he posted on Instagram.

Without a doubt, this is Rani Mukerji’s strongest on-stage effort to date. She portrays a mother who is anguished and in pain, and to state that she is remarkable is still not enough. No single parent in this world, in my opinion, will not be profoundly impacted by and later feel justified after watching this fantastic movie. kudos to @emmayentertainment for making their best and bravest movie to date (props to Greenlawans High School #iykyk) and @ashhimachibber for her masterful direction of this movie with such nuance! Indeed, there is a trailer! Image abhi baki hai… in theatres on March 17, 2023! Crying! Alia Bhatt posted the trailer to her Instagram account. What a trailer that moves.

Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway: The True Story

Norwegian social services took custody of two children who belonged to Anurup and Sagarika Bhattacharya, an Indian couple who resided in Norway, in 2011. The parents engaged the foreign ministry in their fight because they claimed that there was a cultural prejudice towards Indians. The Norwegian government agreed to give custody of two Indian children to their father’s brother so that he could take them back to India following a diplomatic dispute between the two nations.

Unfortunately, the parents’ marriage fell apart in the interim, and the mother turned to the judicial system to obtain custody of her children. This year’s publication of Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway is scheduled for March 17.
