The Tata Avinya was unveiled for the first time in April 2022. The Indian automaker intends to introduce the electrified MPV design in India by 2025. It is built on Tata’s third-generation electric vehicle platform.

The Tata Avinya is roughly the same size as the Tata Harrier. It does, however, sit lower to the ground than the Harrier SUV. The Avinya’s design, according to the automaker, combines the appearance of a crossover with the size of an MPV in the footprint of a hatchback. The new specialized EV platform has given the manufacturer more design options, which can be seen in Avinya’s design.

While the Avinya’s powertrain specs are not yet known, we may expect the electric MPV to have a range of more than 500 kilometres on a single charge.

While the design has butterfly doors, we anticipate that the production-spec version will have conventional doors. We anticipate that it will also include a panoramic sunroof. When it goes on sale, the Avinya electric MPV will also include Tata’s new brand identity and logo. Tata Motors says the name is inspired by the Sanskrit word for invention.
