German Students made The New World’s Fastest Electric Car that break EV acceleration world record

Electric vehicles are gradually dominating the automotive markets. They save money and are environmentally friendly. Additionally, EVs conserve resources. It is still a young sector, though, and innovators like Elon Musk’s Tesla are still working to improve or increase efficiency.

Details about German Students made The New World’s Fastest Electric Car that break EV acceleration world record:

A group of students’ little electric vehicles has now broken a world record. At 0-100 kph (0-62 MPH) in 1.46 seconds, this group of 20 students from the German University of Stuttgart broke the previous record for the fastest electric vehicle acceleration. This information represents the most recent development in a tri-national competition to control the record for the fastest electric vehicle acceleration.

When the University’s GreenTeam shattered the previous record with a 0-100 kph acceleration time of 2.68 seconds, according to Stuttgart, they started the trend. Since then, the Guinness World Record title has alternated between Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland before being returned to Stuttgart by the GreenTeam.

In their Vaihingen Campus workshop, the GreenTeam spent nearly a year getting ready for their car.

The carbon racing car has a maximum output of 180 kilowatts and weighs just under 145 kilograms (about 320 lb), thanks to its four-wheel drive with motors and newly created high-voltage battery pack. the Stuttgart University claims. This translates to 1750 horsepower per tonne due to the light vehicle weight. Thus, the vehicle is capable of a 2.5g peak acceleration, which is about similar to the force felt by astronauts as a rocket re-enters the atmosphere of the Earth.

On one test run, the car malfunctioned at a high rate of speed and slammed into a track barrier cushioned by tires.

Pavel Povolni, the founding chairman of GreenTeam, claims that although the driver was unharmed, the car suffered severe damage.

On October 12, the Guinness Book of World Records affirmed the team’s new pace.
