Junior WAEC Timetable 2023 is Out

About Junior WAEC 2023

Junior WAEC examination is also referred to as BECE. BECE is the abbreviation for Basic Education Certificate Examination. It is an examination that is conducted yearly by the various State Ministries of Education in all the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT. Of course, it is mostly students in government-run secondary schools that sit for this examination. Even though their counterparts from private schools also sit for it with the approval of the government.

There is also the BECE that the National Examination Council (NECO) conducts. This one is for Federal Unity Colleges, Armed Forces Secondary Schools and other Federal establishments operating Secondary schools.

JSS 3 Students from private schools and mission schools also participate in NECO BECE, as long as they have the approval of their state ministry of education.

However, a candidate must take a minimum of ten and a maximum of thirteen subjects.

Junior WAEC Timetable 2023

The Junior Waec Timetable for 2023 candidates is out. According to the timetable, the Junior WAEC cum BECE exams would start on Wednesday, 8th June and ends on Wednesday, 16th June, 2023 for all JSS 3 students.

So all the JSS 3 students in their various schools across the country will receive notification from their school authorities in this regard.

Additional information about Junior WAEC Timetable 2023

Schools and candidates should note the following very carefully.

  • Where the time on the question paper differs from the time on this timetable, the time on the question paper should be strictly adhered to.
  • Practical in Business Studies as well as Basic Science & Technology (BST) should be in sets where the number of candidates is large and the equipment cannot go round. However, the practical examination should not exceed 5.00pm. Computers can be used for Business Studies.
  • Albinos and Blind Candidates are to be given 30mins extra time in all.
