Canadian Immigration Documents

An Immigration Document can be referred to as an official document issued by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) office, the IRCC, the Case Processing Centre (CPC) or the Canadian visa office outside Canada.

The following are some examples of immigration documents according to IRCC:

  • A visitor record to Canada
  • A Canadian study, work or temporary resident permit
  • A Canadian PR card

However, individuals looking for changes to their visa and Record of Landing or confirmation of PR are ineligible for the document replacement process as per IRCC guidelines.

To address these issues, IRCC suggests using:

  • Request to Amend the Record of Landing
  • Valid Temporary Resident Documents
  • Confirmation of Permanent Residence.
