Free Health Camp on World Pharmacist Day

The Institution’s Innovation Council at Axis Colleges went above and beyond the classroom to celebrate World Pharmacist Day by setting up a Free Health Camp in Ishwari Kheda, Unnao. This activity demonstrated the college’s dedication to promoting neighborhood health and its conviction that everyone should have access to healthcare.

The committed group of Axians, made up of academics and students, set out on a noble quest to offer the people of Ishwari Kheda and the villages nearby much-needed healthcare services. They performed a variety of additional health examinations, such as taking the subjects’ temperatures, calculating their BMIs, checking their blood pressure, and testing their blood sugar levels. This all-encompassing approach to healthcare made sure that the villagers were given a complete evaluation of their health.

The team’s work included more than just making diagnoses and writing prescriptions, though. They understood the need of kindness and consideration in the healing process. They offered counseling services to individuals in need in accordance with this philosophy, providing not just medical treatments but also emotional support and hope.

The Axians performed a mental health awareness skit as a part of their larger quest to make healthcare affordable and comprehensive. This impactful performance stressed the significance of addressing both physical and mental well-being and sought to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health disorders. It was a step in the direction of making sure that healthcare is available everywhere, including the sometimes ignored area of mental health.

A wise pharmacist once said, “Medication heals the body, but care and compassion heal the soul.” The team at Axis Colleges actively exemplified this attitude as they engaged with the nearby community. They showed that healthcare is about more than simply curing illnesses; it is also about fostering human spirit by offering not only medical assistance but also a shoulder to rest on.

Let’s keep advancing together toward a healthcare system that is not only accessible but also characterized by compassion and comprehensive wellbeing. The World Pharmacist Day initiative by Axis Colleges with Free Health Camp is a motivating illustration of how educational institutions can have a significant positive impact on the communities they serve by promoting an inclusive and caring culture.
