Savory, Summer (Satureia hortensis)

Tags: savory inches

Plant this annual Savory in late spring. It grows to a height of 18 inches (45 cm), and likes a light, though enriched soil, and full sun. It does not transplant well, so thin to eight inches (20 cm) apart.

Used in the kitchen for its flavor, and crushed, it is good in an emergency, to relieve the pain of bee strigs.
