Papaya Soya Smoothie

Papaya…


Is the ideal fruit to start your day. It has excellent digestive properties and is rich in vitamins A and C, plus potassium. Either eat it simply cut in half with a squeeze of lime on top, the seeds scooped out and discarded, or try making a quick smoothie, which can be drunk while you get ready for the day ahead.

What you need for this lovely smoothie:

  • 1 papaya
  • 2 bananas, peeled and chopped
  • 300 ml low-fat bio yogurt
  • 300 ml soya milk or apple juice
  • ice cubes, to serve

First, halve the papaya, scoop out the seeds and discard. Using a spoon, scoop out the flesh and add to a blender or food processor.

Add the chopped bananas to the blender with the yogurt. Blend the mixture for 1 minute until smooth and frothy.

Add the Soya Milk or apple juice to the blender or food processor and blend together once more.

Pour the papaya smoothie into tall tumblers containing Ice Cubes and serve immediately.

Serves: 4

Preparation time: 5 minutes
