Ambuja Foundation, the program’s implementation partner, will begin work on applicant registration and verification to guarantee a seamless enrollment process. The team will also hold several camps throughout the region to popularize the effort and activate students, showcasing skill training activities through videos and counseling sessions. Candidates would be trained in non-residential, short-term certificate courses at Ambuja Foundation’s Gadchandur and KorpanaSkill & Entrepreneurship Development Institutes.

Ms Pearl Tiwari, CEO of the Ambuja Foundation, stated regarding the organization, “Youth unemployment is one of the most serious issues that rural India faces.” In our 17 years of skilling rural children, we have discovered that our graduates are frequently the principal breadwinners in their families and play an important role in uplifting the entire family. We have collaborated with WCL to provide on-the-ground assistance to the children of rural communities in the Chandrapur region in order for them to become employable and find excellent jobs, while also meeting a critical need among increasing companies for qualified personnel.  It is a win-win situation for both young people and the businesses that support our economy.”

ACF trains youth across rural India as part of its Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (SEDI), helping them to acquire well-paying jobs or start their own businesses in a variety of industries. To far, the SEDI program has taught over a million rural adolescents across 35 centers, with a 75% placement rate.  The curriculum provides instruction in 43 different organized sectors for various trades. Basic computer skills, functional English knowledge, and soft skills are required components of all SEDI training programs, and many graduates are also groomed to become entrepreneurs.
