Hon. Chief Guest Mr. Bansidhar Tiwari personally offered a bouquet to both Mr. Sushil Batra and Mr. Gambhir Agrawal to express his appreciation for Relaxo’s Parivartan Model School Project effort.

Mr. Tiwari, the Hon. Chief Guest, emphasized the importance of physical infrastructure and community involvement in schools. He urged parents to be involved in their children’s education, emphasizing the importance of teachers and parents in creating the country’s future. He also lauded the efforts made to groom kids and develop leadership skills in them through the Bal Mantri Mandal and other Co-Curricular activities organized in schools under the programme.

He stated that we are extremely pleased that Relaxo is working tirelessly in remote locations such as Khanpur and Laksar, and he also suggested that Kasturba Gandhi and Netaji Subhash Schools be included in this initiative as well. He praised the work of integrating the community into support of government schools by forming Education Support Groups of local people who volunteer to solve local difficulties, as well as strengthening management and supporting teachers and SMCs of the different schools.

The attendance of PRI politicians, community members, parents, and others at this event demonstrates that the Parivartan Project has successfully engaged people in the improvement of the rural education system.

He described Relaxo’s Parivartan Model School Project as a classic example of corporate, government, and community collaboration.

Mr. Sushil Batra, CFO, Relaxo, welcomed all dignitaries and stated that any good social work is only possible through collaborative partnership with all stakeholders, and that he is pleased that State and District officials of the Education Department are appreciating the effort of Relaxo and also acknowledging the same, he urged the local community members to come forward and provide the best possible support.

Mrs. Deepti Yadav, BEO, Khanpur, praised Mr. Agrawal and the project team for maintaining constant touch with all teachers, students, parents, and other stakeholders. When this initiative began in 2018, we all worked together to make the necessary adjustments in the quality education and infrastructure of the separate communities.

Mr. B.P. Maindoli, Staff Officer, Samagra Shiksha, Uttarakhand, stated that up to this point, we had only heard and seen the work done under this project through Mr. Agrawal’s communications, but today I am very happy and impressed to see that whatever they have communicated to the education department is less than the actual work done by them.

The Chief Guest and other dignitaries formally welcomed the GPS Karanpur students by presenting them with an education kit (3 notebooks, a drawing book, and a pencil set). It should be mentioned that the long-pending drain water issue from surrounding houses has been rectified, and the building work that began in March 2023 has been completed, and the school is now ready to resume classes on its own site.

The identical Education kit will be delivered to all pupils in the project’s 77 schools (Phase 1 to Phase 3).
