31 Naveen Swami Atmanand Schools in Chhattisgarh being revived with CSR funds

After healthcare, Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in India are primarily centered on education. In terms of Corporate Social Responsibility in education, 31 Naveen Swami Atmanand Schools buildings in Chhattisgarh are now being renovated with CSR monies.

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has sponsored the program through their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. According to reports, Rs 15.72 crores have been donated to the cause.

The refurbishment of these schools is intended to serve pupils from low and middle-income families, in line with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s objective for improved education. Thousands of students are expected to benefit from the project, which will improve their access to quality education and promote a brighter future for the region.

The project focuses on upgrading the school infrastructure in order to create a favorable learning environment for pupils. Classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other key facilities are being renovated to provide students with a well-rounded educational experience.

Taran Prakash Sinha, Collector and DM of Raigarh, is the driving force behind the effort. “We are committed to providing students with a high-quality educational environment that fosters holistic development,” he said of the initiative. Our relationship with NTPC exemplifies the power of public-private partnerships in effecting positive change.”

Aside from structural improvements, the plan includes the purchase of contemporary technology and a diverse collection of books, which will boost the academic materials available to students. This all-encompassing strategy strives to foster curiosity, creativity, and academic performance.

Chief Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel presented the Chhattisgarh Budget 2023 in March this year, stating that 101 Naveen Swami Atmanand English medium schools will be opened across the state, with Rs 870 crore given for the purpose. The CM also announced the establishment of four new medical institutions in the state.
