CarDekho – Sustainability-themed carnival for a week

Girnar Foundation, CarDekho Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, organized a week-long sustainability-themed carnival to commemorate the Group’s founding day and encourage sustainable development.

The carnival aimed to support the company’s five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs): UNSDG 3 for good health and well-being, UNSDG 4 for quality education, UNSDG 5 for gender equality, UNSDG 11 for sustainable cities and communities, and UNSDG 13 for climate action. The foundation is working to create a developed, sustainable, and inclusive India.

Girnar Foundation arranged many activities as part of the sustainability carnival to demonstrate its support to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). One of the events centered on UNSDG 4 for excellent education, and the foundation arranged a business visit for more than 120 impoverished youngsters. The purpose was to raise awareness about the value of education and to assist youngsters in developing professional ambitions. To combat climate change, the foundation arranged a 300-tree adoption campaign and a nature-based quiz to increase awareness about the environment and the need to conserve it.

Other events included a yoga session, a food truck, a ration and book donation drive, and engagement with a dietician to encourage access to decent healthcare.
