Airbus A350 flights – Tata Group-owned Air India announced on Monday that its new Airbus A350 Aircraft will commence commercial service on January 22. The airline has begun accepting reservations for flights operated by the A350, which will be India’s first such aircraft and will first operate on internal routes.   

In the beginning, the planes will fly between Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. Later, it will be used for longer-distance flights across continents.  

The A350 aircraft will take off from Bengaluru to Mumbai at 7:05 a.m., followed by flights from Mumbai to Chennai and Chennai to Bengaluru at 10:05 a.m. and 1:20 p.m., respectively. Except for Tuesdays, these will be operational every day.  

The inaugural flight in the aircraft would depart from the national capital at 7 p.m. on January 23rd, bound for Bengaluru. On Tuesday, an aircraft from Bengaluru would arrive in Delhi at 10:30 a.m. These flights will take off and land on Tuesdays.  

Airbus A350 flights

The first of Air India’s 20 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, registered VT-JRA, arrived at IGI Airport in Delhi on December 23 after flying in from the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France.  

The landing of the A350 marked the delivery of the first widebody aircraft from Air India’s record-breaking 470 aircraft order, with one new aircraft slated to arrive every six days until 2024. “Fitted with the Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines, these aircraft are 20 per cent more fuel efficient than other similar aircraft, reducing fuel emissions and ensuring sustainable operations,” a statement from the company added.  

The Air India A350-900 aircraft has 316 seats in three classes: 28 private business suites with full-flat mattresses, 24 premium economy seats with more legroom and other amenities, and 264 spacious economy seats.  

Air India previously announced its new global brand identity across all guest touchpoints, as well as a new assortment of uniforms for cabin and cockpit workers.
