The World Robot Olympiad (WRO), hosted by the India Stem Foundation (ISF), is being sponsored by Rockwell Automation, Inc., the world’s leading organization committed to industrial automation and digital transformation. The effort is part of Rockwell’s greater corporate social responsibility (CSR) mission of supporting STEM education for poor pupils and preparing them for the future. 

The guest of honor during the WRO event was Arvind Natu, a founding member and senior scientist at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Pune. He talked with attendees and provided great insights into his involvement in STEM activities through IISER.

Each WRO event had 38 teams from between 30 and 35 schools. In the junior and senior categories, two Rockwell Automation-sponsored teams won their regional rounds. These teams have qualified for the National Championship, which will be held in September 2023.
