With the completion of the final section of the Jagdishpur-Haldia and Bokaro-Dhamra Pipelines, GAIL India, the Indian central public sector undertaking, Connected Northeast India to the National Gas Grid. 

With the ambitious “Pradhanmantri Urja Ganga” pipeline project, the PSU successfully connected India’s North-Eastern states to the National Gas Grid for the first time.

With a Rs. 4,000 crore investment, this famous pipeline would ensure clean and eco-friendly fuel for the industrial, commercial, home, and transportation sectors. 

National Gas Grid

The Urja Ganga gas pipeline project, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in 2016, is a major infrastructure project that would supply clean, affordable natural gas to millions of people and companies in eastern India. The Jagdishpur-Haldia Bokaro-Dhamra Natural Gas Pipeline (JHBDPL) project is currently under construction and is anticipated to be 2,540 kilometers long. 

The Urja Ganga project has the potential to change millions of people’s lives in eastern India. Natural gas is a clean and efficient fuel that may be used to cook, heat, and generate electricity.
