RF remote control ceilings fans – Usha International, a leading consumer durables brand in India, has introduced six new premium fan lines, totaling 54 models, in time for the summer season. Under the Lambda, Phi, and Upsilon ranges, the new portfolio includes 27 multi-directional fans with RF remote. All of these fans are BEE 5-star rated and have a 100% copper BLDC motor, making them energy efficient. According to the company’s statement, the fans have a high air delivery capability of 230-240 cubic metres per minute and operate silently.

Unlike most remote control fans, which have a one-year limited warranty, Usha International offers a two-year warranty on both the fan’s motor and the remote, according to the company. Furthermore, the fans come with free installation and two years of free home service. These fans are inspired by nature and its elements and are priced between Rs 8,400 and Rs 9,800. They are available in dual-tone colour variants such as White, Sepia Brown, Beige, Silk Grey, Oyster White, Black Red, and Slate Grey.

Usha International’s plant in Hyderabad, as well as its partner manufacturing units in Haridwar and Noida, manufacture the new Onio series fans. While the company is currently producing for domestic consumption, it has stated that if demand arises, it will consider exports as well.
Usha International CEO Dinesh Chhabra stated, “Fans are no longer seasonal, but rather an all-year product, with sales occurring throughout the year in different regions based on temperature changes. In fact, our R&D team develops products that cater to diverse customer needs in the fans category, continuously bringing in new technology, stylish designs, energy-efficient, best-in-class performance, and high-quality products based on consumer insights and needs.”
Having been in the fan business for over seven decades, fans account for approximately 45% of the company’s total revenue. Usha International anticipates revenue of approximately Rs 3,700-Rs 3,800 crores for FY 22-23.
