NCL sets new yardstick in Coal Sector

Coal Sector – Northern Coalfields Limited, the national miner’s flagship subsidiary, surpassed the enchanted number 400 Million CuM in handling the Overburden on Wednesday, creating a new benchmark in Coal India’s history. NCL made a solid first impression by removing 400.56 Million CuM of OB with an impressive YoY growth of 28.30%. For the coal to be exposed and extracted more quickly, OB must be removed as rock material.

For the company, this development is significant because it will allow coal production to continue well beyond the assigned goal. The Company plans to remove 410 Million CuM of OB in the years 2022–2023.

It has been discovered that the company has already outperformed its OB removal production from the previous year, which was 362.65 Million CuM.

on January 21st, 2023. In contrast to the annual target of 122 MT, NCL has so far produced 114.48 MT of coal with an impressive growth of 9.50% and dispatched 117.66 MT of coal clocking in at 7.70% growth.
