Josh Foundation hosts dance competition for kids

Josh Foundation – Without using a single word, dance has the ability to communicate with the soul. One of the foremost organizations that works with hearing-impaired children, Josh Foundation, took the initiative to boost their spirits by setting up a dance competition under the banner of the “Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav” phrase.

Dynacons provided assistance for this event, which also had AMC and Kshitij as sponsors. This contest allowed many impoverished youngsters who had previously received hearing aids from the Josh Foundation to show off their talents, and the winners received monetary awards to celebrate their victories.

The Josh Foundation has already helped more than 1600 impoverished children who are hearing-impaired, and it is continually coming up with innovative ideas to provide these kids with the best tools and assistance so they can have a prosperous future.

Jaaved Jaaferi, who served as the event’s chief guest, spoke during the awarding of prizes. “It was incredibly humbling to see how dance has brought these kids together. I feel extremely fortunate to have had the chance to witness this in person today. I appreciate the Josh Foundation for planning such a fantastic event.

Darsheel Safary, an actor and judge, was asked about his experience and shared, “Dance has always been an integral part of my life. Seeing the passion and dedication these kids had while dancing and performing aerobatic stunts gives me quite hopeful that dance as a career has a great future through them. The work the Josh Foundation has been doing is excellent, and I am looking forward to attending future events and demonstrating my support for the initiative.

When asked to describe the activities of Josh Foundation, founder-turstee Dr. Jayant Gandhi said, “Josh Foundation has been working with under-privilege hearing impaired children and has donated more than 1600+ hearing aids to date with help from our contributors and patrons.

When requested to shed some insight on the process for selecting the winners? “The actual motivation for holding this dancing competition was to enable these children enrol in some creative activity and increase their self-confidence,” says Ms. Devangi Dalal, the Founder-Turstee of the Josh Foundation. We always put these kids’ support, empowerment, and encouragement first. Only when we include these children with unique needs equally in our society will our kindness be truly lovely.

The competition took place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the NMIMS Institution’s Mukesh Patel Auditorium (Vile Parle West). Celebrity actors Jaaved Jaaferi and Darsheel Safary, as well as Bollywood choreographers Kunjan Jani, Bhaumikk Shah, and Jainil Mehta, judged the competition.
