Inauguration of Annual Mines Safety Fortnight
The annual mine safety fortnight was launched by Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra by raising the safety flag on the grounds of SECL Headquarters Bilaspur’s administrative building.

On this occasion, the SECL Director Technical (Operations) Mr. S.K. Pal, Director Technical (Planning/Projects) Shri S.N. Kapri, Director Technical (Mines Safety/Rescue) Shri B.P. Singh, Director Technical (Personnel/Administration) Shri A.K. Saxena, as well as other heads of departments, union representatives, officers, and staff members were present.
The programme began with the chief guest and distinguished guests decorating the miner’s statue and the martyr’s memorial. The chief guest then raised the safety flag while the Coal India corporate anthem played.
Annual Mines Safety Fortnight
The chief guest and distinguished visitors on this occasion published the brochure “Suraksha Se Samriddhi,” which included safety and security-related subjects.
In his remarks, Chief Guest Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra praised the occasion and added that because safety is a crucial component of our workplace culture, we must fight for it by being vigilant and attentive. He reaffirmed the management’s dedication to Zero Harm.
The security oath was administered on this particular occasion by the principal guest, and it was recited by the attendees.
Shri Saurabh Pandey, Chief Manager (Mining) Safety Department, organised the programme.
