Goldman Sachs recruiting: CA Finalist calls out jobs scam on LinkedIn

Goldman Sachs recruiting scam

Goldman Sachs recruiting – Massive layoffs in the tech and startup industries occurred in 2022. As a result, job seekers started to become the main targets of employment-related frauds.

Ritika Rawat, a CA finalist, recently shared her experience with a job scam on the platform on the business social network LinkedIn.

On November 18, 2022, Rawat believed she had the ideal employment opportunity after receiving a proposal from Goldman Sachs (GS). The true story, however, started when she identified “a mistake” made during the ID creation process at Goldman Sachs.

Rawat was promised on LinkedIn that she had already been chosen by Goldman Sachs and the interview was merely for formalities. Additionally, the communication advised the recipient to send her résumé to JP Morgan if she had no interest in GS.

“I was initially incredibly grateful to him and overjoyed that I had been chosen without undergoing an interview. However, my cynical side was unable to accept that a somebody at that level (AD) was assisting me in obtaining a position in GS “According to her post,

Rawat stated on November 17 that she was looking for a position in the Transfer Pricing (TP) industry, and she later claimed that she had “received many employment offers.”

Rawat stated on November 17 that she was looking for a position in the Transfer Pricing (TP) industry, and she later claimed that she had “received many employment offers.”

In order to obtain an ID on the GS website, which is the first step in the interview process, she claimed that she was first contacted on LinkedIn and then on WhatsApp for her “precise address.” Her ID was then created after she was requested to provide a passport-size photo.

“I discovered after a day that the position was listed as a “Associate, Quantitative Engineer.” I asked him about it as a result. He retorted that the email had been sent in error and that I would only be interviewed for TP. I debated a lot about everything since I was still not persuaded, “she declared.

Following that, a meeting link for an interview will be sent to you from a fictitious email account. You will be chosen for those phoney interviews after two rounds of interviews, she said.

When you are picked, they will let you know, but you will need to pay 40–50k for other joining expenses, which will be covered by your salary, as underlined by Rawat.
