UFlex Chairman Honors Indian Blind Cricket Champions
At the UFlex corporate premises in Noida, India, Ashok Chaturvedi, chairman and managing director of UFlex Ltd., honoured the Indian Blind Cricket Champions team. In order to encourage blind cricket in India in FY23, UFlex Limited provided a CSR donation of INR 50 Lakhs.

The Indian Blind Cricket Team, a member of the Cricket Association for the Blind (CABI), has won the third T20 World Cup for the Blind, completing a hat-trick. They defeated Bangladesh at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium by a commanding score of 120 runs.
At the earlier felicitation ceremony held at their corporate offices, Chaturvedi, CMD, UFlex Limited, presented a cheque for INR 51,000 to each of the 17 players who make up the current Indian Blind Cricket Team, as well as to their coach and physio. This is in addition to the CSR funding for blind cricket in India.

The Indian Blind Cricket Champion’s hat trick performance at the recently finished T20 World Cup is heartening, and we are all proud of their accomplishment, Chaturvedi said in a statement congratulating the team on their admirable performance. Their World Cup winning streak is proof that you can succeed against all odds if you have the appropriate support and motivation.
In order for the players to continue to represent India with pride, we would like to implore BCCI to recognize the Indian Blind Cricket Team and offer them strong financial assistance. “We at UFlex are happy to have had the chance to play our part in promoting cricket for the blind and will continue to support them on their path,” the statement reads.
The Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), which has 24 state organisations and more than 25,000 players affiliated at various domestic level competitions in India, is the main body for administering, organising, and developing cricket for the blind in that country. CABI is the cricketing arm and initiative of Samarthanam Trust for Blind People, which is associated with World Blind Cricket Ltd (WBC) and the Indian Paralympic Committee.
