ENGIE celebrates National Energy Conservation Day by planting trees

ENGIE celebrates National Energy Conservation Day

In honour of National Energy Conservation Day, ENGIE, a pioneer in low-carbon energy solutions, organized a plantation campaign throughout all of its operational sites in India. At their 17 plant locations in the states of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, ENGIE planted 500 seasonal and native seedlings to commemorate the day. The sustainability programme aims to enhance and protect the biodiversity in the areas surrounding ENGIE’s active locations.

ENGIE also planned seminars, planting campaigns, and awareness posters with the slogan “SAVE ENERGY, SAVE FUTURE” for the kids of the neighbourhood government elementary schools in order to further raise awareness and educate about energy saving.

National Energy Conservation Day

Amit Jain, Managing Director of ENGIE India, spoke on the occasion and stated, “ENGIE’s practises coincide with its 2045 net zero goal and further embed the need to safeguard and maintain the environment. The campaign to plant trees is a component of ENGIE’s broader initiatives to advance decarbonization and instil the notion that protecting the environment “today” will lead to a better tomorrow.

ENGIE honours its promise to help India achieve its 2030 Clean Energy Goals. Every success shows ENGIE’s commitment to helping the Indian government realise its energy transformation strategy and reach a clean energy target of 500 GW by 2030.
